vIsualize is an analytics app that allows VMware's engineers to, bare with me, "visualize" stats around their Flings (think Google Labs). vIsualize offers stats like downloads per day and geographical downloads. vIsualize is STILL IN PROGRESS!
While at my internship at VMware in the summer of 2011, I built an app that tracked where our users were downloading our software. vIsualize was a cool way to show off these stats.

Sirkel, Norwegian for "circle", is a geolocation-based chat client where users login and see those nearby overlaid on a Google map. By simply clicking on each others' icon, users can chat with each other real time.
While at my internship at VMware in the summer of 2011, interns were offered the chance to compete by building the most unique and well-designed webapp, and then push it to VMware's new PaaS, CloudFoundry. I came up with Sirkel. Sirkel took the grand prize in a contest that was between all interns in the Americas.

GMDT is a custom-built (and yet-to-be-released) Wordpress plugin which detects a users' click on a certain link, records the time, and then notes their IP address. Later, their geolocation is calculated and the position/timing of their download is overlayed on a Google Map.
My boss at VMware wanted something similar to Mappos (Google that).

FPCSLO's website was overhauled in 2010. This is where I worked as a youth pastor for 3 years.
I approached the staff of FPCSLO (as a member myself) to tell them I'd be willing to build out a website if they were willing to hire a design firm to design it. I sliced up the PSD and ported the design to Drupal. We figured if I did the development work, we could save the church a substantial amount of money.

Stuff In My Pocket is a free & fun little iPhone app that allows a user to select different sound effects, place the iPhone in their pocket, and as they walk, the iPhone plays the selected noise by detecting the accelerometer's events. Currently, the user can select coins, elf, baby, and a spring.
Stuff In My Pocket was built out of a desire to dabble with HTML5/CSS/Javascript technologies on the iPhone.
HTML, CSS, Javascript & jQuery, Phonegap, XCode, Git
The Miami Heatlings is basically a soundboard novelty free iPhone app.
Watching the 2011 NBA Finals I got the inspiration to build another app (after Stuff In My Pocket) that would rally all Miami Heat fans.

Save The Bay is the largest regional organization working to protect, restore and celebrate San Francisco Bay. In 2011, they celebrated their 50th anniversary.
At VMware, service learning is a HUGE deal (basically volunteering with non-profits). My intern team was paired with Save the Bay, and part of our task was to make a brochure for them to use at various events. I took the challenge up to design the brochure, with input from the entire team of interns.

HumanKind Fair Trade is a non-profit store that provides vital fair income to artisans and farmers in the developing world by selling their products and telling their stories here in downtown San Luis Obispo.
While I worked at First Presbyterian Church SLO, I occasionally auctioned off my design skills to fundraise for our ministry. Humankind won my services and I designed this brochure for them.

The Bauman Clinic is one of the most respected Psychiatry firms on the Central Coast. They wanted a brand that would show professionalism as well as care.
Dr. Bauman approached me about a branding as she open her new office in '09. I gladly accepted and she picked this design out of 4 designs.

A conceptual Honda motorcycle ad using my old motorcycle as the subject.
Being a former owner of 3 Honda bikes, I thought it would be fun to dabble with my own rendition of a Honda ad.

Google Chrome has some cool themes, but they aren't always exactly what I wanted.
So I built some of my own.

In this project, we basically wanted to see if we could detect negation in various English corpora. This project was advised by Dr. Ole Christoffer Granmo.
